I may be a good fit if you:

  • Have experienced past hurts, abuse or victimization

  • Have difficulty in relationships or connecting with others

  • Notice unhealthy patterns of behavior

  • Experience anxiety over food (either eating or not eating), overexercising or poor body image

  • Have difficulty with life transitions and change

  • Use sometimes harmful ways to deal with or avoid your emotions

  • Want to explore concerns around internalized racism (the ways you have been impacted by racism)

“Feel it, the thing that you don’t want to feel. Feel it, and be free.”
~ Nayyirah Waheed

As your therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I adopted this philosophy, Begin Anew, for my therapy practice because it is a constant reminder of life’s natural process of growth and renewal. I am encouraged by the resilience of the human spirit and our natural tendency, as humans, to seek opportunities for growth, connection and healing. This process does not come without challenge or pain, but instead, uses our struggle as the needed foundation to create something fresh…something new. This is the continual flow of life and the ever present opportunity to Begin Anew.
